Inspiration: Albrecht Durer's Birds
“In order to see birds it is necessary to become a part of the silence.”
-Robert Lynd
These are by Albrecht Durer, a Northern renaissance artist who was one of the first to create nature studies as an independent form of art. In his journals he wrote about every aspect of nature being as beautiful, and worthy of attention and artistic practice. He travelled widely, preferred to work from life, and believed that a meticulous attention to detail was a way to connect with the sublime.
